Ultimate 'Jim & Pam' Timeline

Let’s dive into each season and what it brought us in terms of this epic (and relatable) love story! Season 1: Best Friends Who Need Each Other

In Season 1 of The Office, there were only six episodes to see if NBC would pick it up. Fortunately, it was a hit with the cast, crew, and viewers. As viewers learn in the pilot, Jim and Pam are close friends as well as allies in the office. Suddenly, Pam's engagement to Roy (who worked in the warehouse) is revealed. The relationship triangle is just beginning in season 1.

Pam and Jim are so close that it’s hard to wrap your head around why she would be with someone like Roy, who seems so cold and distant. (We were all obviously Team Jim from the jump, right?)
